Wetlands Delineation

As state regulations tighten throughout the region on wetland delineation, now more than ever, it is important to know if there is a wetland on your property and, if so, what its boundaries are. Delineation is the separation off wet lands and non-wet lands.

Wetlands- Those areas inundated or saturated by surface or ground water at a frequency and duration sufficient to support, and that under normal circumstances do support, a prevalence of vegetation typically adapted for life in saturated soils.

Wetland boundaries are delineated according to current Army Corps of Engineers regulations based on soils, plants, and hydrology at the site. Perimeters are then flagged and located using modern GPS equipment. State and federal wetland permitting services are offered for projects that will impact wetlands or wetland buffers.  If you are unsure if you need delineation or have questions regarding your property, please feel free to give us a call.
